- Three-door new Fiesta with Ford Individual styling debuts at 2008 Paris Motor Show
Cologne, September 5, 2008 - The new Ford Fiesta is getting personal! Customers who have already fallen in love with new Fiesta’s chic interior can make it even more exclusive, thanks to Ford’s Vehicle Personalisation programme, Ford Individual, now extended to Ford’s all-new small car.
Two distinct themes have been developed for the new Fiesta, created to fit perfectly with new Fiesta’s eye-catching sense of style. For each theme, a collection of complementary pieces have been toned to enhance the expressive use of colour in new Fiesta’s interior.
The two Ford Individual themes are called simply ‘Red Style’ and ‘Blue Style’ – the striking ‘Blue Style’ is available for Fiesta Sport with the Brilliant Blue interior, while the elegant ‘Red Style’ is matched to Fiesta Titanium with the Soho interior environment.
It’s not just colour – Ford Individual also focuses on using high quality materials that are superior to touch and create a comfortable and luxurious environment. Central to this are the Windsor-quality leather sport seats and leather door panels, with contrasting silver stitching and matching leather gear shift knob. Door panels feature leather padding, while the seats themselves are embossed with the ‘Individual’ logo, supporting and cosseting occupants with flared side bolsters.
Comprehensive Pack treatments
The finishing leather touch is a unique, two-tone steering wheel, matched to the seats. The soft leather is offset by Fiesta’s ‘Stirling Silver’ instrument panel centre stack and metallic accents to the door pull handles. Unique, velour floor mats with colour coordinated borders in contrasting double stitching are embroidered with the ‘Individual’ logo, adding both style and protection.
“New Fiesta is another level in Ford interior design, and the Fiesta with Individual styling allows customers to really express themselves with personalisation, creating a different feel while enhancing the design and craftsmanship of the new Fiesta cabin,” explained Ruediger Gerlach, Vehicle Personalisation Manager, Ford of Europe.
Personalisation does not need to be restricted to the interior, with the option to combine Ford Individual with Fiesta’s Exterior Styling Kit. Adding deeper front and rear bumpers, a contrasting rear diffuser in an Anthracite finish, rear spoiler and side skirts (available on the three-door model only), customers can be sure that their new Fiesta will stand out from the crowd.
On the Paris Show stand, visitors will see a Titanium three-door new Fiesta, finished in metallic Panther Black and featuring the Ford Individual ‘Red Style’ interior option pack.
Ford Individual packs will be available to new Fiesta customers across Europe by the end of 2008.
