BRENTWOOD, Essex, 22 August, 2008 – Masterlease, one of the UK’s leading contract-hire and leasing companies, has switched to Ford Authorised Repairers for the service and repair of its Ford vehicles.
The company currently operates more than 7,700 Ford cars and light commercial vehicles and its fleet requires service and repair work worth more than £2.5 million annually.
“Masterlease’s decision means that as many as 5,000 extra units will now be handled by Ford’s 620-strong Authorised Repairer network,” said Ford fleet aftermarket manager, Andy Nicholson.
“Ford has the UK's largest network of Authorised Repairers,” said Andy. “They have to be competitive in terms of quality of work and price and they provide a one-stop shop for service and warranty work.”
Ford Authorised Repairers benefit from comprehensive training and tooling programmes. Technicians undergo three years’ basic training, and half of all Ford AR technicians go on to become Master Technicians.
Recognising the technical sophistication of modern Ford vehicles, all Ford Authorised Repairers are equipped with Ford's state-of-the-art diagnostic tool (IDS) to ensure that any faults can be diagnosed quickly and accurately, for improved "right first time" repairs and to minimise the inconvenience of vehicle downtime.
