FORD FLEX BECOMES VEHICLE OF CHOICE FOR MOTORCRAFT/QUICK LANE DRAG RACING TEAM

DEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 17, 2008 – The Motorcraft / Quick Lane NHRA Funny Car team is always on the move – traveling across the country to events in 22 cities, towing their racecar up to the starting line and getting to and from the racetrack.  And now, the first-year racing team is rolling in an all-new Flex.

"Having the Motorcraft and Quick Lane team use the new Ford Flex as its tow vehicle is exciting for us," said Al Giombetti, executive director, Ford Customer Service Division.  "This allows us to put the Flex in front of the thousands of fans who come to the races each weekend.  A lot of families come to the races, and for them, the Ford Flex is the perfect vehicle to get safely to and from the track."

Debuting last weekend at the inaugural drag race in Charlotte, N.C., the Flex received a lot of attention from spectators and rave reviews from the Motorcraft / Quick Lane crewmembers.

"Our team needs a lot of space to be able to get our job done, and the Ford Flex really gives us the space and comfort that we need in a travel vehicle," said Bob Tasca III, team owner and driver, Tasca Racing.  "The crew travels all across the country, so to have a safe vehicle with some really great features for them is really satisfying."

The team's new crossover is a six-passenger black Ford Flex, and features SYNC, a refrigerated console, reverse camera system and next-generation navigation with SIRIUS® Travel Link™.
