BRITISH INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW, London, 22 July, 2008 – Ford's high-tech all-new Fiesta is set to redefine standards for looks, equipment and value when it joins the UK market in October - priced from just £8,695.

With more power, lower emissions and a host of big-car features, Britain’s most stylish newcomer enters the small-car market costing £155 less than equivalent previous generation entry model.

Ford of Britain’s marketing director, Mark Ovenden, said: “Fiesta has been Britain’s best-loved car for more than 30 years and millions of customers have found Fiesta to be exactly right for them. Our all-new Fiesta is going to widen that appeal even more with its fantastic looks, lovable character and affordable price.”

Headlining the new range is the Fiesta ECOnetic, boasting the lowest-CO2 yet of any family car. A cleverly calibrated 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi produces 10 per cent less CO2 than the already impressive mainstream TDCi is matched to a special aerodynamic profile that results in just 98g/ km CO2 and a combined 76.3mpg.
Elsewhere, customers will be offered an extensive line-up of specification and trim options, each with improved equipment, from Titanium luxury and Zetec sportiness, to the affordability of Studio and Style:

STUDIO from £8,695
Despite its affordable price tag, Studio delivers more than expected. From its stylish surroundings, drivers are protected with an Intelligent Protection System featuring ABS, front, side and knee airbags, while a CD player, central locking and power mirrors keep up the comfort levels.

STYLE from £9,295
In line with its name, Style enhances Fiesta's bold new look with body-coloured bumpers, mirrors and door handles. Inside an upgraded four-speaker sound system, power front windows and remote central locking complete the package.

STYLE + from £10,395
Upgrading to the Style + provides Ford's Quickclear® heated windscreen and air conditioning.

ZETEC from £10,995
Expected to be the most popular choice, Zetec-badged Fiestas will account for approximately 35 per cent of sales. Taking a sporty slant on the Fiesta theme, model highlights include 15in alloy wheels, front fog lamps, leather steering wheel, chrome grille and bodywork detailing and interior "aesthetic lighting".

ZETEC S from £12,595
The highest expression of Fiesta sportiness, Zetec S sits on larger 16in alloy wheels and boasts a deeper front bumper, side mouldings, a rear spoiler and sports-tuned suspension.

TITANIUM from £12,095
The luxurious high-tech Fiesta Titanium features 16in alloys, Electronic Temperature Control, privacy glass, cruise control, automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, power folding mirrors and carpet mats.

Fiesta ECOnetic shows form can exist with function, offering the same Fiesta style with lowered suspension, low rolling resistance tyres and a specially calibrated Duratorq 1.6-litre TDCi for an ultra-low 98g/ km CO2, making it exempt from UK road fund duty.

Other all-new Fiestas will be available with a broad choice of engines, most revised, updated or new to the car. Diesel drivers can opt for Duratorq TDCi in either 1.4-litre 68PS or 1.6-litre 90PS forms.
