FORD EXPANDS VOLUNTEER EFFORTS TO HELP BUILD STRONGER COMMUNITIES ON ACCELERATED ACTION DAY

More than 600 Ford employees and retirees in 17 states have organized into MODEL Teams of volunteers to concentrate on safety and shelter in their communities, working on urgent repair, renovation and beautification projects that have been named as top priorities by Ford’s nonprofit partners. This is the first time that Ford’s high-impact MODEL Teams concept is being expanded to projects across the U.S., and the first time that Ford retirees were able to participate.

Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth – three of Ford Racing's eight fulltime drivers—will continue to race for the 2008 championship after qualifying for NASCAR's Chase for the Sprint Cup.

IT’S GO TIME FOR JOHN FORCE RACING AND FORD RACING IN THE NHRA COUNTDOWN TO 1

After a successful debut in 2007, the Countdown to 1 is back featuring a revised format as the National Hot Rod Association prepares to crown its champions in its four Pro categories. The new six-race championship playoff format, which kicks off this weekend in suburban Charlotte, NC, is modeled after the successful NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup. The top-10 drivers from the regular season (first 18 races) advance to the Countdown to 1 and each is credited with a staggered point total based on their regular season finish.
