COLIN BRAUN POSTS SECOND FASTEST TIME IN NATIONWIDE HAPPY HOUR

Colin Braun, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion was the fastest Ford in Friday’s happy hour practice and second quickest overall. Braun (88.109 sec., 102.882 mph) was one-hundredth of a second off the pace set by leader Scott Pruett (88.097 sec., 102.896 mph). Qualifying is scheduled for 10;35 a.m. on Saturday morning.

FORD RACING NASCAR NATIONWIDE DRIVERS EAGER TO RACE SOUTH OF THE BORDER

Erik Darnell makes his NASCAR Nationwide Series and road racing debut this weekend at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City. Darnell talks about working with teammate Colin Braun and road race expert Boris Said before taking to the track for this weekend’s race. Darnell is the fulltime driver of the No. 99 Northern Tool Equipment Ford F-150 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

FORD STATEMENT ON CLEVELAND ENGINE #2

There was a small fire due to a chemical reaction at Cleveland Engine #2. It was confined to a lab and was put out immediately with a fire extinguisher. There were no injuries and approximately 150 people were sent home as a precautionary measure.
