BOBBY HAMILTON, JR., FINISHES IN THIRD PLACE IN NATIONWIDE RACE AT TALLADEGABobby Hamilton, Jr., driver of the No. 25 Smithfield Ford Fusion, picked up four positions over the final three laps following the race’s final restart and finished in third place in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway. Pole-sitter Tony Stewart won, his first victory at the 2.66-mile track. Greg Biffle (No. 16 CitiFinancial Ford Fusion) was third on the final restart, but was shuffled back to an 11th-place finish. |

DAVID RAGAN QUALIFIES SIXTH AT TALLADEGADavid Ragan, driver of the No. 6 AAA Travel Ford Fusion, qualified sixth on Saturday for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway. Joe Nemecheck won the pole. Ford drivers Carl Edwards (11th) Jon Wood (12th), Matt Kenseth (13th) and Travis Kvapil (14th) all qualified in the top 15 at the restrictor-plate track. |

JON WOOD QUALIFIES AT TALLADEGA, RACES AT KANSASJon Wood, driver of the No. 21 Little Debbie Snack Cakes Ford Fusion, qualified 12th at Talladega on Saturday, and then immediately headed with his parents and spotter to Kansas Speedway for this afternoon’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck race. Wood was the 37th driver to attempt to qualify, and the second of the 11 drivers of teams that are not in the top 35 in points and needed to qualify on time. Brandon Whitt practiced and qualified the No. 21 U.S. Air Force Ford F-150. Wood will start the truck race from the rear of the field. |
