News CenterFord sets Guinness World Records® achievement
Ford set a Guinness World Records® achievement today by holding the world’s largest game of “Red Light – Green Light” to highlight the company’s first use of its fuel-saving Auto Start-Stop technology on a gas-powered vehicle, the new 37-mpg EcoBoost® Fusion. The game was a unique and fun element of an employee celebration at Ford’s Dearborn World Headquarters as part of a five-city U.S. launch of the all-new Fusion. Four hundred and fifty-one employees got the chance to take a trip back to their childhood while participating in “Red Light – Green Light” to showcase the Auto Start-Stop feature that allows Fusion drivers to save fuel and produce fewer emissions when stopped in traffic. The record was made official by Guinness World Records Adjudicator Michael Empric.
