MyFord Touch® and MyLincoln Touch® Performance Upgrade

Beginning in March, Ford is delivering a faster, simpler and easier-to-use version of MyFord/MyLincoln Touch® on 2013 model year vehicles, including the new Taurus, Flex, Escape and Lincoln MKT and MKS.

Developed using owner feedback, the Performance upgrade will be offered to existing owners at no charge.

In mid-march, we will begin mailing USB flash drives with the software to owners of 2011-2012 Ford Explorer, Edge, Lincoln MKX and 2012 Ford Focus vehicles for self-installation.

Customer will also have the option to visit their local dealer for installations of the upgrade.

The Performance Upgrade will provide the following benefits:

• Faster, simpler and easier to use: The MyFord Touch upgrade delivers faster touch screen response, simpler graphics and easier to use controls
• New features: Better phone compatibility, support for tablet computers and Audible audiobooks, improved navigation maps and destinations entry and enhanced voice recognition
• Free upgrade delivered conveniently: Owners with vehicle with MyFord/MyLincoln Touch® are eligible for the no-cost software upgrade and have the choice of using the USB delivered by mail or by visiting their dealer for installation.
