OAKVILLE, Ontario, December 1, 2010 – Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited saw sales increase 16 per cent marking the best November in nine years. Strong performance across the entire lineup, including car sales which increased 23 per cent, crossover sales which rose 28 per cent and truck sales that were up 13 per cent, helped to boost overall sales. Year-to-date, Ford of Canada sales are up 20 per cent and continue to lead the Canadian market.

"Having a more balanced portfolio of cars, crossovers and trucks has helped us give Canadian consumers what they want," said David Mondragon, president and CEO, Ford of Canada. "As the only major manufacturer to have an increase in car sales, consumers are thinking of Ford as more than just a truck company."

Third-parties have also awarded Ford for its cars, crossovers and trucks. The all-new Fiesta has won Canadian Automotive Jury's 2011 "Best of the Best," the 2011 "Subcompact of the Year" from Auto123.com and the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada's "Best New Small Car under $21,000." Other awards include Ford Taurus for "Full-size Car of the Year," Ford Flex for "Full-size Utility of the Year" and Ford F-150 for "Pickup of the Year," as selected by Auto123.com.

"The industry continues to lean heavily towards truck sales, but as fuel prices rise, the market will adjust and Ford's delivery of the freshest showroom in the industry with a balanced lineup of cars, trucks and CUV's will help deliver our long-term plan of sustainable growth and profit," said Mondragon.
