Miami-Dade Students Move their Education Forward

Educational programs that link academic work to the working world are essential for achieving self-reliance and community success. We work with the Cuban American National Council (CNC) through the Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies (Ford PAS) program to provide educational services to Latino youth.

A Collaboration that Benefits Latino Youth in Miami-Dade

The programs that CNC offers are available to individuals from all ethnic and racial groups. CNC's programs include education, employment, housing and youth support. Individuals can achieve self-reliance, and communities can work toward their mutual benefit through the support that CNC provides.

Our collaboration with CNC benefits 40 Latino youth in alternative Miami-Dade schools. The students follow the Ford PAS curriculum and receive instruction in business, economics, technology and engineering. This coursework allows students to advance their academics and prepare for the working world.

Through our collaboration with CNC, Latino youth in Miami-Dade can expand their educational experience for their individual benefit, as well as that of the community.
