News CenterExport and Growth Sets All-Time Sales Record
DEARBORN – Ford Export and Growth Director Hal Feder had exciting news to share at the annual dealer meetings earlier this month – E&G set an all-time monthly sales record in February, extending its streak of consecutive record-setting months to 15.
“Our dealers work hard to provide excellent service to our customers,” Feder said, “and I was thrilled to be able to tell them about this milestone in person.”
Vehicle sales totaled 13,718 in February, topping January’s results by more than 2,000.
More than half of the sales, 6,956, were made in Ford Middle East, although virtually all of the markets turned in strong performances. Israel had another strong month in February, with 1,936 sales.
E&G’s Sub-Saharan Africa region also set an all-time monthly record of 1,106 sales. Asia-Pacific enjoyed the best January in its history, selling 1,059 vehicles, led by Malaysia and Korea. In fact, AP has its own impressive streak going, one that rivals E&G’s – the region has had record sales each month for more than a year. Sales in Caribbean and Central America surpassed 1,600 vehicles.
The Ford Focus was again E&G’s top-selling vehicle in February, followed by the Expedition and Explorer.
