CARL EDWARDS FINISHES SECOND AT POCONOCarl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion, led a race-high 103 laps and finished in second place in the Pocono Raceway on Sunday. Teammates Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth ran in the top five all afternoon, but both were forced to pit for fuel in the closing laps. Biffle finished 13th, and Kenseth ended up 16th. |

NASCAR’s Wood Brothers Make First Trip to NHRA EventWood Brothers Racing co-owners Eddie and Len Wood attended their first-ever NHRA drag race event this weekend at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill. As guests of Bob Tasca III and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Racing team, the Woods were able to get an insider’s view of drag racing. GREG BIFFLE AND JAMIE McMURRAY BOTH HAVE FAST FORDS AT POCONORoush Fenway Racing teammates Greg Biffle and Jamie McMurray put up top-11 speeds during both practice sessions at Pocono Raceway on Saturday. Biffle, driver of the 3M Ford Fusion, was 11th-fastest in the first practice and third-fastest in Happy Hour; McMurray, driver of the No. 26 Crown Royal Ford Fusion, was sixth-best in the first session and eighth-best in the second. |
