Ford Motor Company is transforming its more than 60-year-old Dearborn facilities into a modern, green, high-tech campus. The project will colocate 30,000 employees from 70 buildings into primarily two campus locations over a 10-year period.
The centralized campus will further drive innovation and support Ford’s transition into an auto and mobility company.
Throughout, Ford Motor Company will work closely with the city of Dearborn on our master planning activities to ensure adherence to all city guidelines and to provide updates to residents on the project.

June Update
Construction continues on Ford’s research and engineering campus as part of the company’s 10-year Dearborn campus transformation. Landscaping continues at the new maintenance and operations building. Interior work is ongoing at the site of the parking deck located next to the maintenance and operations building. Temporary fencing was installed near Elmdale as a safety precaution. In accordance with Dearborn city guidelines, construction is taking place 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. We appreciate your support. July Update
Ford Motor Company will hold a community meeting on Thursday, July 19th from 5:30pm-7:00pm at the Conference and Events Center located at 1151 Village Road, Dearborn, MI 48124. During the meeting, Ford will share renderings and answer questions regarding campus transformation construction plans. We hope that you are available to attend.
As a reminder, Ford is working closely with the City of Dearborn to ensure adherence to city guidelines regarding noise and all other related items. Construction activities will continue to occur between 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. We are monitoring noise and vibration and will do our best to minimize resident disruption. We appreciate your understanding during this process.

Timeline
Phase one (2016-2023) began last April with a focus on parking decks and infrastructure. Additional projects include a new design studio, a sustainability showcase building, and green areas .
Phase two (2021-2026) will focus on major renovations of the Ford World Headquarters complex, including Ford Credit. Ahead of that, work begins in 2017 on modifications to the complex, including a more modern café at World Headquarters and updated work spaces.
