Position Description/Overview

The Global Digital eCommerce Manager will serve as the authority on digital eCommerce marketing best practices, new and relevant digital eCommerce platforms and tying digital eCommerce campaigns back to business goals. This position requires a creative, strategic thinker who can apply marketing best practices to campaigns in a fast-paced environment. Core aspects of this position include working with internal and external teams, managing partnerships, advising on industry best practices, developing and implementing digital eCommerce strategies, and working with our marketing teams around the world.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Global oversight, management, and strategy for eCommerce solutions across .com and other digital properties (incl. support for Tier 3 dealer)
  • Leverage customer insights, competitive benchmarking, and industry trends to drive future plans and make recommendations across shop / buy
  • Develop constructs to define the shop / buy experience into consumer-facing solutions, including new innovations in the digital space
  • Lead development of global eCommerce cycle plans that establishes the digital blueprint for next 3+ years (global + regional features, functions, services)
  • Track key metrics, milestones and deliverables to ensure adequate support and communication with key interdependencies such as global teams, retail teams, Ford Credit and Ford Customer Service Division

Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 4+ year of progressive digital marketing or eCommerce experience at a Global Brand
  • 4+ years of managing digital marketing or eCommerce direct and indirect reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Digital, eCommerce marketing, information technology, or digital media solutions desired including experience working with agency partners and cross functional teams.
  • Must be a self-starter who can operate in a very fluid / dynamic environment, & have the ability to take responsibility for key 'milestones' with minimal supervision.
  • Strong consumer understanding skills with ability to translate customer insights into future “real world” solutions.
  • Must possess a high degree of creativity to find new, compelling ways to reach and communicate to consumers across the connected ecosystem.
  • Ability to champion Marketing Sales & Service goals across the Global/Regional/Market team environment.
