The Ford EESE organization has a need to grow one of its key enabling technology areas, Netcom (MUX/Diagnostics) Communications. With the tremendous growth in number of CAN based modules, the reliance on the “network” to deliver vehicle features and functions, as well as the new protocols on the horizon, Ford EESE Core Systems team is seeking dedicated and highly motivated engineers to assist in delivering vehicle programs with the robust networks.
Position Duties:
Network Communication (multiplex/diagnostic) Application Engineer support forward model vehicle program teams.

Network Communication (multiplex/diagnostic) Application Engineer support forward model vehicle program teams.
As a Netcom Application Engineer the position duties would involve:
- Developing/maintaining Program CAN Message List
- Ensuring MUX DV testing is completed at ECU and Vehicle level
- Review ECU/Module diagnostic part 2 specifications to ensure compliance to core requirements
- Ensure Diagnostic DV testing is completed at ECU level.
- Develop Vehicle Specific Configuration Spec (VSCS) for manufacturing plant end of line (EOL) testing and service tools.
- Implement EOL requirements for plant testing for EESE modules.
- Provide launch support for MUX/Diagnostic issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 2 years’ experience with automotive electrical systems.
- 2 years’ experience with CAN Protocol and/or experience developing/validating diagnostics for ECUs.
- BSEE or higher
- 2+ Years of Electrical experience.
- 2+ Years Experience with automotive electrical systems.
- 2 + Years experience with CAN Protocol and/or experience developing/validating diagnostics for ECUs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
