Job Duties:

  • Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project's and installations
  • Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other automation problems
  • Update program backups for automation
  • Program new installations of Body tooling and conveyor systems
  • Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ year Electrical Background (electrician or technician)
  • 2+ years of Manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Fanuc robot experience
  • Kawasaki programming, RS Logics, Microsoft office experience
  • PLC experience
  • Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics
  • Experienced in laser burning
  • Strong understanding of conveyors system programming and body tooling techniques, in addition to networking understanding, DH+, Ethernet, remote IO
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Simulation modeling exposure
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
  • 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem solving skills
  • Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping experience
  • DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience
  • TQM and Kaizen Methods experience
  • FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experience
  • Visual Factory Management experience
  • Able to coordinate automation campaigns
  • Allen Bradley Panel View use/programming experience AB Servo and AB VFD drives
  • Familiarity with VFD’s, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls.
  • Strong problem solving background must include 8D's, FMEAs, and DMAIC's
  • Should be able to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (RSLogix).
