Job Duties:
- Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project's and installations
- Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other automation problems
- Update program backups for automation
- Program new installations of Body tooling and conveyor systems
- Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ year Electrical Background (electrician or technician)
- 2+ years of Manufacturing experience
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Fanuc robot experience
- Kawasaki programming, RS Logics, Microsoft office experience
- PLC experience
- Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics
- Experienced in laser burning
- Strong understanding of conveyors system programming and body tooling techniques, in addition to networking understanding, DH+, Ethernet, remote IO
- Ability to read blueprints
- Simulation modeling exposure
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
- 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem solving skills
- Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping experience
- DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience
- TQM and Kaizen Methods experience
- FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experience
- Visual Factory Management experience
- Able to coordinate automation campaigns
- Allen Bradley Panel View use/programming experience AB Servo and AB VFD drives
- Familiarity with VFD’s, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls.
- Strong problem solving background must include 8D's, FMEAs, and DMAIC's
- Should be able to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery
- Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (RSLogix).
- Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate leadership in ONE FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.
