Powertrain NVH Development Engineer positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Lead design verification for Powertrain NVH vehicle attributes and support design and release activities with NVH design direction. Perform powertrain NVH hardware assessments using vehicle, powertrain system and powertrain component testing rigs. Perform multi-body dynamics modeling of powertrain systems. Develop NVH design verification procedures and systems to reduce verification expense and optimize use of test resources. Apply appropriate signal processing to test results and provide data analysis to extract NVH pertinent information from test data. Investigate NVH issues by specifying diagnostic testing and interpreting both test results and CAE analysis results. Interface with powertrain and vehicle program engineers to develop and coordinate the NVH design verification testing plan. Perform benchmarking to monitor competitive practices and enhance company design processes.

Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field with coursework or thesis in systems dynamics theory
- 2 years of experience in the position offered or 2 years of experience performing data acquisition, analysis and interpretation using mechanical vibration analysis test systems
- 1 year of experience creating software using MatLab, C#, C, C++, Java, and Visual Basic
- 1 year of experience using ADAMS modelling software to analyze multi-body dynamic mechanical systems
