Solution Architect for Mobility Solutions
Position Overview/Description:
The Ford Smart Mobility architecture organization is looking for an experienced solution architect to design and implement solutions that support the business goal of aggressively pursuing emerging opportunities in connectivity, mobility, autonomous vehicles, customer experience and data/analytics, as well as alternative mobility solutions.
We are looking for someone to work in our mobility area, helping to provide alternative mobility solutions. You will collaborate with business customers, developers, security specialists and fellow architects to provide global, robust, secure and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business partners and IT personnel to design and develop solutions
- Communicate architecture through key architecture documents
- Collaborate with security specialists to provide a secure architecture
- Guide teams along the way in best practices in development, testing and dev-ops
- Ensure overall quality of architecture solutions throughout the development process
- Share and present architecture to cross-functional teams and executive leadership
- Prove out new technologies through proof of concept work
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years’ experience with Cloud Foundry or Java development
- 2+ years working with frameworks, architecture patterns and design patterns
- 2+ years performing application troubleshooting and resolving performance issue
- Excellent problem solving skill
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- 2+ years working with interoperability standards and methods
- 1+ years’ experience as lead developer large project or program
- 1+ years of demonstrated ability to work on multiple project efforts simultaneously
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and innovate solutions
- Self-starter, ability to work independently but still can work within group to deliver top-notch solutions
- Leadership skills in working with senior-level management and assisting in decision-making
