Job description:
Autonomous Vehicle Service Controller Engineer positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Develop requirements for a Service Controller to manually control the motion of an autonomous vehicle during service and manufacturing. Develop a prototype controller and evaluate with users. Develop control algorithms in the vehicle and Service Controller to control vehicle motion based on commands from the Service Controller.
Minimum Requirements:
· Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering or a related field
· 1 year of experience developing hardware and software requirements for autonomous vehicle motion control requirements and design
· 1 year of experience developing hardware and software requirements for CAN and CAN-FD
· 1 year of experience developing hardware and software requirements for over-the-air software flashing
· 1 year of experience developing hardware and software requirements for message authentication and automotive cybersecurity
· 1 year of experience developing hardware and software requirements for remote data collection
· 1 year of experience developing hardware and software requirements for automotive diagnostic protocols
· 1 year of experience developing hardware and software requirements for automotive module initialization, bootloading and reprogramming
· 1 year of experience hardware and software requirements for writing requirements and aligning with stakeholders, including suppliers
