Responsibilities:

Collaborating with Hardware Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and suppliers to engineer and design printed circuit boards for various electronic modules.
Develop Library parts for the PCB Component Library
Document designs via assembly drawings, engineering specifications, and PCB Design Tool Data.
Working with PCB Manufacturers and the Ford supply chain to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness
Consult PCB Manufacturers on latest PCB Materials, manufacturing guidelines, and layer construction options.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
1 year minimum experience related to Mechanical Design or Electrical Design of products that contain a complex Printed Circuit Board . (co-op and internships are acceptable experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with any 3D Solid Modeling Software (Catia/Creo/Solid Works)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PPT, Word...)
Demonstrated team player as well as self-motivated
Preferred to have had at least one term as a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op or Intern or Electrical Engineering Co-Op or Intern
Ability to communicate effectively with peers, internal and external teams
Comfortable with traveling domestically and internationally to work with suppliers of Printed Circuit Boards and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
High attention to detail
Self-Motivated to expand role into items such as heat transfer and field reliability prediction of SMT Components
