Experienced software engineer will be joining Ford Next Gen Data Center Engineering (NGDE), Cloud Automation team. Lead software development to deliver automated solutions for on-premise Cloud based on VMware virtualization stack, and other hosting environments such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes. Work in an agile teaming environment to design, develop, test and deliver automation code through a CI/CD methodology. Utilize vendor software products and opensource software to develop automation solutions, for example, Chef, Hashicorp, and others. Research and innovate solutions to support NGDE goals, for example, Chef Habitat. Position requires a solid background in infrastructure to support delivery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and security to deliver Security as Code (SaC).
Position will also have opportunity to provide scrum master role and agile coaching for NG teams, depending on candidate skillset.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related.
3+ years of industry experience working with Cloud Automation at a large enterprise.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related.
