Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, materials science or a related technical field
- 5 years of experience in the position offered or 5 years of experience working with instrumentation measurement systems including signal conditioning and transducers
- 5 years of experience conducting data collection to ensure communication systems are working accurately in connection with system level measurement uncertainty, data analysis and reporting
- 3 years of experience utilizing battery testing equipment, including AVL Lynx, Maccor, Bitrode or PEC
- 3 years of experience performing battery testing for electrified vehicle powertrain and high voltage electrical system application
- 3 years of experience performing instrumentation of internal components of Li ion battery cells or packs, including internal pack wiring, cell arrays, and battery management system control modules
- 3 years of experience developing automation tools for controlling battery cycling devices and data acquisition systems
- 2 years of experience analyzing physical battery behavior under abuse and normal cycle testing with risk analysis
- 2 years of experience analyzing physical battery behavior to establish alarms, data acquisition methods, and error detection
- 2 years of experience analyzing physical battery behavior to identify amperage & flow characteristics
- 2 years of experience evaluating cycle life and safety of Li ion batteries including UN 38.3, USABC manuals, and SAE J2464
