Job Description
Ford Credit Marketing and Sales IT is a Global domain with responsibility for Strategy, Portfolio Management, Mobility Experiments, Operational Support and Project Delivery. We are also leading the adoption of Agile, partnering with leading technology firms outside of Ford to change the way we develop software. The position is within the Online Financing space which is responsible for delivering a new and exciting digital retail experience for a variety of different channels.
Development follows eXtreme Agile practices with continuous integration and deployment geared towards a business and user value driven approach. The team frequently delivers user stories in 1 or 2 week sprints targeted on a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
This Software Developer position has the opportunity to use the latest cloud native technologies and methods such as pair programming and test driven development (TDD). There is a lot of cross-functional knowledge sharing and many continuous learning opportunities.
The team is in an open, collaborative environment at the Ford Credit Dearborn office. The team is co-located and made up of a Business Product Owner, Delivery Lead, Tech Lead and Developers. There is much interaction with external vendor experts, Dev Enablement teams, DEVOps and Architects. The team culture is very collaborative and supportive of each other.

Position Description:
- Website / Application development and enhancement of front & back-end Online Financing applications including Payment Estimator and Online Credit Application
- Engage in eXtreme Agile practices including but not limited to pair programming, Test Driven Development (TDD), backlog grooming, sprint demos and Continuous Integration
- Develop with web technologies, including Android, IOS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AZURE, Adobe Experience Manager, microservices, AngularJS framework
- Work directly with Ford Credit Business partners (Product Owners) to deliver application changes at market speed
- Develop and execute unit and integration test scripts
- Participate in paired programming concepts
Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in cloud native technology, such as PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), GIT hub, Jenkins, SpringBoot, Spring Framework, Gradle, Angular JS and/or Azure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and/or interest in Agile and eXtreme programming practices such as pair programming, Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies
- Mobile application development preferred such Android/iOS
- Experience in JAVA or J2EE preferred
- Experience in WebSphere
- Good interpersonal communication skills for team and partner work
- Strong presentation skills
