Job Description Provide technical leadership to engineering team in the design of communications systems. Design communications systems including design tradeoffs leveraging existing technology, optimizing link performance while considering cost, schedule and reliability Perform link budget analysis on automotive wireless communications networks (AM/FM, DAB, PEPS LF, RKE, TPMS, etc) Develop and release RF System requirements and Design Validation Methods Lead teams of module, coax cable, and antenna D&R engineers to ensure efficient and effective RF system design Perform testing and troubleshooting on wireless communications systems
Required Qualifications:
BS Electrical Engineering
10 years or more experience in one or more of the following: WiFi, Bluetooth, Cellular, GPS, or similar wireless technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of communication techniques (modulation schemes, propogation, etc.)
Understanding of Rx and Tx RF chains
Experience with RF and Communication System test equipment
Experience with analytical tools such as Matlab and RF Field Simulation tools
Experience in digital signal processing
Strong leadership skills and ability to lead cross functional teams
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adjust to new and evolving engineering processes
