Job Description
We are seeking exceptional candidates to join our growing autonomous vehicle (AV) business team! Autonomous vehicles are an important part of Ford’s future and we are looking for the best and brightest. The role will require enterprise-wide critical thinking, collaborating with cross-functional professionals, and a “get it done” attitude to help make strategic decisions that will enable Ford to be a leader in autonomy, connectivity, mobility, customer experience, and analytics. As an Autonomous Vehicle Product Manager, you will research customer needs, develop the product roadmap and collaborate with teams to continuously deliver products that provide the best in class experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Convert customer insights from hands-on research into tangible product features that customers will love.
  • Develop, communicate and own the product roadmap for Ford’s autonomous vehicles experience and be a strong advocate for customer-centric decisions.
  • Develop a plan to execute the vision and define a set of KPIs to measure success criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineering/design, sales, operations, finance and legal to turn innovative technologies into products that solve transportation problems and deliver value to our customers.
  • Monitor and measure launched products and feed insights back into the product development process to drive continuous improvement.

Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required in Computer science or other engineering degree equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in design, product development and product management related roles

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or MS degree is preferred
  • This role is best suited to a candidate who has a mindset of starting with the customer first and working backwards, along with critical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and a “get it done” attitude
  • Technical background with ability to quickly understand a specific domain and identify the trends and opportunities in that space
  • Experienced at building strong working relationships, influencing teams to take action and earning the trust of senior stakeholders
  • Have a passion for digital products and services and continuously improving the customer experience
  • Highly motivated, flexibility to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and the ability to persevere when others give up
  • Have a strong sense of responsibility and urgency while balancing the need for collaboration
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use facts and data for assumptions and decisions
  • Ability to successfully work with range of teams including UX, engineering, sales, finance, operations and legal
  • A desire to constantly learn and grow
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to adapt communication style based on the audience
