We think it's important to work with schools in our communities to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
In Detroit, we offer students tours of our world-class Rouge manufacturing facility. Trips like this help students understand the real-world application of what they learn in their math and science classes, as well as provide them with an overall understanding of engineering.
Taking a Tour
Thanks to our relationship with Ruddiman Middle School, 76 Detroit middle school students are still buzzing about a recent trip to nearby Dearborn, where they were able to experience the world-famous Rouge plant.
In the Rouge's 360-degree theater, the students learned how an F-150 is made. They also toured the plant's observation deck, where they viewed the world's largest living roof and the wildlife that the Rouge supports.
