Fiesta Wins Three UK Fleet Awards

2013 Fiesta wins Best Small Car title.

LONDON, UK, March 21, 2013 - Ford scooped three trophies in the Fleet News Awards 2013. The Fiesta won the Best Small Car title and Ford was additionally named Green Fleet Manufacturer of the Year and Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer.

Presenting the Best Small Car award in London on Wednesday evening, the judges said the new Fiesta was ahead of the pack with its “modern, bold look and availability of low CO2 emissions engines for both petrol and diesel.”

They added: “The car is packed with the latest safety features and innovative technology, such as the MyKey system to limit top speeds. Backed by excellent support from the manufacturer and its dealer network, the Fiesta also wins thanks to its low running costs and strong residual values.”

Ford won the Green Fleet Manufacturer title because it “addresses the whole range of vehicles, from cars to vans with innovative technology, such as the efficient EcoBoost petrol engines.”

The judges also noted that even incremental improvements by Ford have a massive impact because of the company’s global footprint.

Ford beat Hyundai and Lexus to the title of Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer.
The judges commented: “Ford has responded to feedback from fleets and the leasing industry and taken action to improve its relationships over the past year. New innovative schemes, such as the accident management programme, are added value, saving fleets money, while for vans, a move away from front-end values to total cost of ownership has dramatically improved fleet efficiencies.”
