- Ford Figo bags four accolades at the annual Bloomberg UTV Autocar Awards, including the title of 'Car of the Year 2011'

- A total of five awards from Bloomberg UTV Autocar and other significant accolades, demonstrate the remarkably rising popularity of Ford and its products in India
New Delhi, January 8, 2010: Continuing its winning streak of the last few weeks, Ford India has bagged five accolades from annual Bloomberg UTV Autocar Awards during a glittering ceremony on Friday.
Besides winning the top honour of Bloomberg UTV Autocar India's "Car of the Year Award 2011," Ford Figo is also awarded the "Value for Money Car 2011" and "Premium Compact Car of the Year 2011" accolades.
The Autocar India judging panel, including Autocar's editor, Hormazd Sorabjee and other auto experts put the Figo through a rigorous testing process evaluating its driveability, performance and handling and analyzing its spaciousness, comfort features and styling.
Ford Figo also features at the Bloomberg UTV Autocar Awards as the winner of the "Viewers Choice – Car of the Year 2011" at the awards.
In addition to recognizing the Figo's virtues, Ford India has been named "Manufacturer of the Year 2011" for its innovative practices in manufacturing and engineering excellence. These awards were presented at a prize giving ceremony in Mumbai on January 7.

In addition to the many accolades from Autocar India, Figo was recently conferred "Indian Car of the Year 2011" by a reputed jury of leading automobile journalists. BBC Top Gear voted Figo their "Small Car of the Year", and has been named "2010 ET ZigWheels Car of the Year". Additionally Figo won two awards – "Compact Car of the Year" and "Viewers Choice Award by CNBC TV18-Overdrive ".
In 2010, a Ford India team was a CII Cluster energy efficiency award runner-up and a silver trophy winner at the prestigious International Convention on Quality Concepts Circle (ICQCC).
Sales of the Ford Figo continued to be strong with more than 60,000 units sold domestically since its launch in March this year.
To further strengthen its service support, Ford India has been expanding its sales and service network across the country. The company's dealer network has increased to more than 170 across over 100 cities in India.
