Ford Lends a Hand as Nashville Rebuilds

There's nothing like a Ford Super Duty truck when there is a big job to do.

Nashville and the Middle Tennessee region are still recovering from this spring's devastating floods that swamped more than 11,000 homes and caused $2 billion in damage.

Now on the job, a 2011 Ford Super Duty truck that rolled into Nashville to help with the rebuilding effort as part of the Lend a Hand giveaway on NBC's Today Show.

Ford donated the $50,000 vehicle to Hands On Nashville, a community organization helping to coordinate clean up and repair activities.

Shortly after the deadly floods in early May, Ford Motor Company contributed $50,000 cash to disaster relief efforts, while also providing volunteers to help in the community.

Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services has contributed more than $6 million to nonprofit organizations in the Nashville area during the past seven years.
