New Ford EcoBoost Engine Addresses Consumer Need for Better Fuel Efficiency
Ford Motor Company [NYSE: F] is kicking off production of its advanced fuel-efficient EcoBoost engine, a key step in the company’s plan to deliver leading fuel economy across millions of vehicles. Ford invested $55 million to retool and reopen the plant, and added 250 jobs to produce the engines. Introduction of EcoBoost comes at a perfect time as tighter standards are being imposed on vehicles and the new engine allows consumers to stretch their dollars further by delivering better fuel economy without sacrificing power and performance. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine will debut in the 2010 Lincoln MKS, Lincoln MKT, Ford Taurus SHO and Ford Flex this summer. more...

New Mustang Coupe Scores Top Safety Rating
The 2010 Ford Mustang coupe is more than just a pretty face. The new car can add the U.S. government’s top 5-star crash-test and rollover rating to its highly acclaimed attributes. Considerable body stiffness contributes to the coupe and convertible’s driving performance and has a parallel benefit in accident protection. Small-Business Owners to Get Behind the Wheel
A comprehensive new campaign, “Transit Connect Across America,” will put 3,000 small-business owners in 13 major cities behind the wheel of the 2010 Transit Connect commercial van. Kicking off this week, the campaign includes test drives with consumers at busy retail locations, individual drives with small-business owners and a print campaign underscoring the vehicle’s versatility and capability.
