New Ford EcoBoost Engine Addresses Consumer Need for Better Fuel Efficiency |
Ford Motor Company [NYSE: F] is kicking off production of its advanced fuel-efficient EcoBoost engine, a key step in the company’s plan to deliver leading fuel economy across millions of vehicles. Ford invested $55 million to retool and reopen the plant, and added 250 jobs to produce the engines. Introduction of EcoBoost comes at a perfect time as tighter standards are being imposed on vehicles and the new engine allows consumers to stretch their dollars further by delivering better fuel economy without sacrificing power and performance.
