GREG BIFFLE, MATT KENSETH SCORE TOP-10S AT BRISTOL

GREG BIFFLE – No. 16 3M Ford Fusion (finished 4th) – “We were just off a little bit, you know, but it was a good night. It’s unfortunate. This lane choice is just really terrible, the re-starts. Whoever’s on the outside just a clear advantage. It’s too bad that that caution came out there at the end – we were going to finish third, might’ve had an opportunity to get up there. It’s too bad because Mark Martin probably would’ve won the race, but that’s racing, that’s the way it happens. There was an accident, the caution came out and that’s where we ended up.”

YOU WERE VERY STRONG EARLY. “Yeah, we were pretty good early. It just got too tight, and I didn’t adjust on it quick enough. I should’ve adjusted on it quicker. But, it was one of those things. I should’ve adjusted on it earlier and more.”

YOU GAINED SOME POSITIONS IN THE STANDINGS, TOO… “Yeah, but I think we lost points to 13th place, that’s what people have got to keep in mind. We’re trying to stay ahead of 13th. We’re going to have to wait and see. I know we gained on the 83, obviously, but the 18 is who we’ve got to stay in front of, and he gained on us a little bit tonight.”

MATT KENSETH – No. 17 DeWalt Ford Fusion (finished 10th) – “We didn’t run particularly well, but we ran a lot better than I thought we would. The double-file re-starts are just real hard here. If you get on the bottom or get behind somebody, it almost made it harder to pass here because everybody’s just stuck side by side. But, if there were faster guys in front of you, depending on what lane you were in. At the end there, I thought we were probably good enough to run sixth or seventh, but just kept getting stuck behind people that were slower than me, and couldn’t get around them, you know, when there are two lines. So, overall it was a good night for us compared to what we’ve been doing. The last four weeks have been closer, a little more consistent.”

ON HIS CURRENT POSITION IN THE POINTS STANDINGS. “Really, all we can do is run the best we can – if we get it running better and finishing better we won’t have to worry about it. This was better, but we still – it’s 26 races from Daytona to Richmond and every race is important, you put forth your best effort every week. You do all you can do. You get down to crunch time, and it’s that close, but you had a chance to gain or lose points for the last 23 weeks, you know what I mean? So, you’ve just got to do the best you can every week, and where it ends up, it ends up.”

YOU RAN UP FRONT EARLY. WAS THE CAR AS GOOD THEN AS IT SEEMED? “No, we just qualified good.”

DAVID RAGAN – No. 6 UPS Ford Ford Fusion (finished 14th) – “I think at the end of the race we might have had a top-10 car. We didn’t need all of those cautions at the end of the race. I’m real proud of our UPS team; we improved from our starting position and we made the car better throughout the race. It still isn’t the run that we’re looking for because we want to be up there in the top four or five. This is a start to build a little momentum and we can take what we learned tonight and hopefully apply it to some of the other short tracks that are coming up. It was a nice day for us in points and we came out with a car in one piece. We’ll be ready when Atlanta comes around.”
