Dearborn, Mich., Nov. 30, 2009 – Add ollies, 360s and kickflips to the long list of performance attributes of the 2010 Ford Mustang. For the ninth installment of Ford ’10 Unleashed campaign, director Jeff Richter, with the help of professional skateboarders Pat Duffy and Jake Brown, took the 2010 Mustang and did the unthinkable.
Imagine watching the 2010 Mustang replicate legendary street skater Pat Duffy as he ollies off the side of a high rise building in downtown Los Angeles. That’s what Richter dreamed up when he was asked to unleash his Mustang side for Ford’s ’10 Unleashed program. Duffy along with
X Games gold medalist Jake Brown spent the day showing the 2010 Mustang a few tricks.
“I wanted to unleash my Mustang side by taking the Mustang and making it do the impossible,” said Director Jeff Richter. “Wall grinds, tail grinds and 360 kickflips – this skate video shows the Mustang doing the most amazing stuff you’ve ever seen.”
As seen in the three minute skate video, the 2010 Mustang gave the pros a run for their money. To watch Duffy, Brown and the 2010 Mustang skate the streets of Los Angeles, check out the video and behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot at www.the2010Mustang.com.
“While the eight previous ’10 Unleashed experiences documented the 2010 Mustang through some incredible journey’s across the U.S. and even to Japan, the ninth, ‘Mustang Session,’ took the campaign to the next level,” said Steve Ling, car group marketing manager for Ford Motor Company.
This experience is among several other dream Mustang experiences Ford is bringing to life with “The ’10 Unleashed.” Famous drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. slid sideways around Japan, consumer Roger Keeney drove blindly, 18-year-old consumer Derek Murrell drag raced his high school shop teacher and four gamers tested their Need for Speed SHIFT™ in real life at Willow Springs Raceway. Each of the incredible videos can be viewed on www.the2010Mustang.com.
