Through the first nine months of the year, its sales rose 32 percent to 316,639 units.

Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion, made a late-race run and avoided an eight-car wreck with four laps to go to finish in sixth place at Fontana on Sunday, and move into eighth place in the NASCAR standings, one position behind teammate Greg Biffle. David Ragan started 31st and steadily improved all afternoon, ending up seventh, his best finish since he opened with a sixth-place showing at Daytona.

Ford Racing teammates Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards have combined for two wins at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., site of this weekend’s race. Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion, is in eighth place in the standings and led a race-high 113 laps en route to a third-place finish at Kansas last weekend. Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion, has nine finishes of seventh or better in 10 career starts at the two-mile oval near Los Angeles.
