Job Description
Great opportunity for an experienced Module Core or D&R engineer to join the AV team and lead the development of several ground up modules!


Lead:
  • Development and release of AV specific control modules.
  • Completion of device transmittals and submission to EESE using VSEM. Manage supplier submission of EMC test plans, PAAT evaluations and maintenance of Global engineering specifications (ES) to GPDS program timing.
  • Supplier liaison for support plans, two pagers, ED&T efforts, CPMT minutes, etc.
  • Support any module application installation issues
  • Core hardware team input and support for AVSE and Argo teams.
  • Core hardware team interface to electrical and electronic systems engineering teams as required.
  • Wiring compatibility review with electrical and electronic systems engineering electrical distribution team.
Support:
  • Support AV Systems Engineering team in development, release and maintenance of requirements documents.
  • Support AV Systems Engineering team in development and release of AV system architecture diagram.
  • Support EDS team in development and release of system wiring requirements.
  • Support PMT teams (AV, Electrical, etc.)
  • Module debug and sign off for Development builds.
  • Resolution of field issues.
  • Must be able to travel, if required to support supplier startup efforts


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related disciplines.
  • 2+ years' experience in the design and development of automotive electrical and electronic systems and/or components.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related disciplines
  • Must be a “self-starter” with a proven ability to work independently, foster teamwork and develop/drive process enhancements with strong leadership skills.
  • Prior experience in the development of Ford engineering deliverables, including requirement specifications, FMEAs, engineering statements-of-work, design verification plans, and DVP&Rs.
  • Prior experience with Ford vehicle development processes and tools, including GPDS, WERS, supplier management, 8Ds, 5Ds, and related items.
  • Innovation mindset and cross-function communication skills required
  • Must be able to travel, if required to support supplier startup efforts
