Powertrain Controls OBD Subsystem Engineer positions offered by Ford Motor Company Dearborn, MI. Design, validate and maintain on-board diagnostics (OBD-II) for engine controls. Develop control system specifications to meet regulatory requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering or a related field
- 2 years of experience in the position offered or 2 years of experience developing engine diagnostic or control systems
- 2 years of experience applying product development system engineering principles
- 1 year of experience applying hardware-in-the-loop testing techniques
- 1 year of experience authoring and publishing Subsystem Requirements Specifications
- 1 year of experience identifying customer wants
- 1 year of experience investigating quality history
- 1 year of experience translating new regulations
- 1 year of experience drawing boundary diagrams
- 1 year of experience publishing subsystem service & repair information
- 1 year of experience developing diagnostic failure modes & effects analysis
- 1 year of experience designing diagnostic trouble codes
- 1 year of experience designing data/parameter identifiers
- 1 year of experience designing output state control
- 1 year of experience creating p-diagrams
- 1 year of experience providing calibration direction
- 1 year of experience establishing additional parameter restrictions
- 1 year of experience publishing demonstration methods
- 1 year of experience authoring operation summaries
