We believe in the importance of celebrating the legacy of those who helped shape the Civil Rights movement. Our involvement with the Freedom’s Sisters exhibit is an exciting way to share their stories with Americans, young and old.
Celebrating African-American Women
Freedom’s Sisters is a traveling exhibition that celebrates 20 African-American women—from key 19th century historical figures to contemporary leaders—who’ve fought for equality for people of color. Freedom’s Sisters pays tribute to the legacies of these women, who helped shape the spirit and substance of civil rights in America.
The Freedom’s Sisters exhibit was created by the Cincinnati Museum Center and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. Our collaboration with these two organizations will help produce an exhibition that will leave a lasting impression at every stop it makes.
The Freedom Tour
The Freedom’s Sisters exhibition opens at the Cincinnati Museum Center on March 15th, 2008, and will tour an additional eight cities over three years. Throughout its three-year nationwide tour, the interactive, multimedia exhibit will help encourage and motivate the next generation of leaders through dialogue on the civil rights struggle, past, present and future.
With our help, visitors of all ages, races, and backgrounds will be able to visit the Freedom’s Sister exhibition.
