FORD WILL EXCITE, ENTERTAIN AND SURPRISE AT AUTO CHINA 2008

Ford Motor Company will excite and entertain at Auto China 2008 with a line-up of fun-for-everyone activities. The huge 1460 square meters Ford stand will be alive with interactive displays, real-life interviews and a few surprises.

Ford promises to "Make Everyday Exciting."

Ford will blend the fantastic and the futuristic with a spectacular reveal of its advanced concept cars. You need to see the reveal to believe it, and then you won't believe how they did it.

Exotic, hand-built concept cars are as much modern art as they are a corporate calling card. Ford's concept cars are often closer to reality than many experts realise. For example, the Ford iosis concept (show in Beijing 2006) inspired the design of the new Ford Mondeo that is now manufactured and sold in China. A hint: Ford will repeat history.

Ford's display at Auto China will also provide some fun human interaction. We want to hear from you. Think of it as your chance to be the centre of attention as we interview you on a variety of fun topics. We'll then play it on the big screen for everyone to see.

Ford's advanced technologies that make today's cars safer, cleaner and more exciting to drive will play a major part at this year's show. Ford will take visitors to Auto China on a tour of future technologies such as Ford's new affordable engine technology that will improve fuel consumption by 20-30 percent and significantly reduce CO2 emissions. In this instance, the future is not too far away.

The technology tour continues with a display of a six-speed gearbox that changes gear by itself. This transmission technology combines the performance benefits of a manual gearbox with a shift quality smoother than most conventional automatics. What's more, it reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Ford will excite and entertain with displays and a few surprises at this year's Auto China.
