Ford has announced a new effort to harness the power of the world’s gaming community to help solve the mobility issues of growing global cities. The Ford Smart Mobility Game Challenge, produced with Cologne Game Lab, challenges developers to gamify urban commutes and integrate transport modes for smoother, less-stressful journeys.

Online entry is open until Oct. 15, 2015, with an additional finalist to be selected at the Smart Mobility Hackathon at the Clash of Realities conference in early November. A panel of experts will choose five finalists, and the winning developer team will receive a cash prize and have their work presented at Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona.
