Jiwon Park
Pricing Analyst

Jiwon’s data analyses and consumer insights are helping turn Ford vehicles into bestsellers.

“The ability to be a part of an organization that allows me to contribute in a significant way to activities that shape the world economy is simply amazing.”

For Jiwon Park, the price of a Ford F-150 is more than just a number. It’s an insight into how customers feel about every part of the driving experience, from headlights to horsepower.

As part of the pricing team, Jiwon crafts those insights by analyzing a vehicle’s target market and competition. Data plays an important role, but there’s an art to pricing, as well. “All my life, I’ve balanced an interest in the creative and the quantitative. Our organization requires us to both be able to crunch the numbers and present strategic analyses.”

Jiwon hit the ground running in his first role at Ford, developing pricing for the 2013 Ford Fusion. He worked with the product team to find the highest quality, most cost-effective version of each vehicle component, down to the headlamps. In the process, Jiwon went from “someone who was never a car guy” to his family and friend’s go-to resource for advice on everything from cargo vans to the 2015 Ford Mustang.

Currently Jiwon is working to set prices and forecast sales for the game changing, all-aluminum Ford F-150. The pricing role now comes naturally, despite initial doubts about how a political science major would fit in at Ford. “My recruiters told me that the critical thinking my education demanded would be a perfect fit for Ford. And since day one, that’s proved to be true.“

Where Are They Now?

As of October 2015, Jiwon is a Funding Manager who works with capital markets investors to help fund Ford Credit's business.
