Job description: Research Engineer, Safety positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearbon, MI). Develop advanced finite element models of the human body, Pedestrian and Side Impact Protection and Vehicle Crashworthiness in Radioss, LS-Dyna and Pam-Crash. Apply biomechanics to special populations such as obese and older occupants and document findings.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field
1 year of experience developing advanced finite element models in Radioss or LS-Dyna
1 year of experience performing non-linear analysis to develop technologies for side impact occupant protection and vehicle crashworthiness
1 year of experience utilizing data from physical tests to validate finite element models
1 year of experience summarizing and presenting recommended actions for finite analysis to stakeholders
Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
