Position Duties:
- Use a Six Sigma approach to improve all areas of the business
- Implement and lead Ford NA Six Sigma strategy within manufacturing plant
- Coach Plant OCM, Black belts and Green belts in strategic problem solving and Six Sigma methodologies
- Coach, lead and assist problem solving teams at Ford facilities and suppliers
- Teach Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt classes, Help prepare students for certification
- Coach and teach Ford Production System methods including standards and project selection
- Coach and mentor Black Belts and Green Belts to use 6 Sigma tools properly and complete projects
- Run Six Sigma Kaizen projects to support resolution of significant issues
- Lead Six Sigma continuous improvement projects to resolve significant issues
- Liaison with other business units on best practices and 6 Sigma knowledge
- Support implementation of Ford Production System standards and continuous improvement tools
- Drive implementation of continuous improvement methodology and sustainability strategies with plant leadership
- Provide Ford Production System assistance and training to the plant as required
- Coach and teach Ford Production System methods including standards and project selection.
- Interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management team members
- Demonstrate an ability to resolve diverse problems
- Work well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary
- Work and multi-task in fast pace environment
- Teach Quality Operating System methods and principles
- Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
- Proven ability to lead teams
- Understanding of Lean Principles
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Experience with implementing and sustaining continuous improvement strategies
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Master Black Belt Certified
- 3+ years of manufacturing production in a union environment
- 3+ years of working with Microsoft Office experience
- 3+ years of years of managerial experience leading teams
- Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering discipline or strong manufacturing experience preferred
- 7+ years of manufacturing production experience
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
