Job description:

Applications Software Developer positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Cary, NC). In connection with Ford Infotainment Embedded system, responsible for adding new features to system's software and provide fixes for software defects. Work to port existing functionality to new hardware. Perform design, coding, testing and debugging for software applications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related technical field
• 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year of experience analyzing requirements and designing software components that produce high-level and low-level design specifications, story boards, interface specifications and test plans
• 1 year of experience developing software using object-oriented methodology and C/C++ language on QNX operating system for embedded, mobile or consumer electronic platforms
• 1 year of experience developing user interfaces using QT/QML
• 1 year of experience developing and testing software applications utilizing UNIX IPC, TCP/IP and socket programming technologies
• 1 year of experience using open-source tools
• 1 year of experience debugging software applications using target debugging tools
• 1 year of experience applying agile practices
• 1 year of experience working with cross function and cross geographic development teams
• In lieu of a master’s degree and 1 year of experience, employer will accept a bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience
