Position Duties
Provide medical care, emergency and non-emergency
Identify the need for medical intervention
Coordinate employee health screening and surveillance programs
Demonstrate compliance with state laws and regulations governing nursing practice
Perform administrative duties, as assigned
Work with the Senior Nurse on OSHA recordkeeping remediation, as needed
Develop promotional materials for Biometric Screening Program
Work with Senior Nurse to ensure the Biometric Screening Program is available across all shifts
Establish quarterly goals for the Biometric Screening Program
Communicate the Biometric Screening Program within the work location
Calibrate and perform routine equipment maintenance
Take biometric measurements, provide an interpretation of the results to employee(s) and document results in the OHSIM system
Ability to handle sensitive or privileged information with absolute confidentiality
Demonstrated interpersonal skills – specifically the ability to listen effectively, work effectively in a team environment and work well in pressure situations, as needed
Computer skills proficiency, with preferred experience in developing spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel and creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
Conduct physical exams including new hire, reinstatement, surveillance, and fit-for-duty
Perform audiometric, pulmonary function and respirator fit testing
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
RN degree required
Current nursing license in the State of Michigan
BCLS-provider
5+ years’ of experience in Emergency care and/or Occupational Health
1+ years’ experience in Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)
Prefer experience in administering wellness programs, including marketing, developing objectives, computer tracking
Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
