Position Overview/Description:

Ford’s IT team delivers a wide range of technical solutions to power our business, from large enterprise data centers, to mobile apps on handheld devices and the networks in between. This position resides within the IT Project Management Office (PMO) in Dearborn, Michigan. The IT PMO services a wide range of internal business customers and is a mature office that continues to evolve and shape with the changing needs of the Ford Business environment. We are a global office with counterparts in North America, Europe, India and China.


Ford’s re-entry program is a temporary assignment for those with an extended employment break (2 or more years) in their field who are looking to re-launch their careers. This is a supplemental position with provisions and benefits different from a regular full-time position. All positions have a six-month duration. Upon successful completion of the program, a full-time employment offer could be made.

Responsibilities:
Interface with Program Manager, Project Managers and Delivery Leads to ensure Process and reporting quality for the Digital Worker Program.

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ IT experience, delivering IT Development and/or Infrastructure projects using key PM disciplines of scope, schedule, financial, change, risks, and issue management
  • 1+ year of project management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership skills applied to building teams and relationships with a high degree of professionalism and maturity
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) with business users and IT professionals, proficiency in adjusting message and style appropriately for the audience, and effectively managing stakeholder expectations
  • Applied knowledge of software development frameworks used in IT solution and/or infrastructure delivery
  • Knowledge of MS Project and Clarity
  • Ability to efficiently utilize desktop tools (Office Suite, Instant Messaging, WebEx, Audio Conference etc.)
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with ability to easily multi-task and absorb new information quickly
  • Strong desire to learn and grow through taking on new challenges with a positive mindset
  • Strong service oriented mind-set with attention to details and quality
