Job description:
Technical Project Leader positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Initiate and manage projects with external partners, interfacing and networking with startups, universities, non-traditional suppliers and technology forums to scout and incorporate new technologies into Ford’s active safety vehicle development. Define project scope and develop statements of work (SOWs) for active safety technologies such as SAE Level-3 vehicles including evaluating end-to-end neural network approaches. Perform consolidation of project status updates, and report findings to management as needed. Oversee the presentation of proof-of-concept demos to management. Manage the delivery of information between R&D and product delivery in forward model teams working on various vehicle programs, and interfacing with Tier1/Tier2 suppliers.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 4 years of experience in the job offered or 4 years of experience performing automotive radar sensor processing including automotive radar sensor hardware and sensor calibration, acquiring and analyzing data, developing algorithms, and implementing applications.
  • 4 years of experience developing software, testing, and integrating 360 degree automotive short range radar sensors
  • 4 years of experience integrating & calibrating of automotive radar sensors
  • 3 years of experience developing MATLAB scripts for simulation of radar processing algorithms and automated data processing
  • 2 years of experience establishing and leveraging ground-truth data and coordinating frames for Automotive Radar Sensor Processing
  • 2 years of experience developing device drivers for automotive radar systems
  • 2 years of experience integrating and testing automotive electronically steerable radar sensors
  • 2 years of experience integrating and testing with automotive long range radar sensors
  • 2 years of experience optimizing algorithms to meet runtime or accuracy objectives
  • 2 years of experience developing visualization tools
  • 1 year of experience developing obstacle detection & tracking algorithms
  • 1 year of experience developing signal processing and sensor fusion algorithms for automotive applications using cameras, RADARs, LiDARs, GPS, IMU and automotive communication protocols (CAN)
  • 1 year of experience working with SAE Level 4 autonomous vehicle virtual driver system development
