This position is located at the Ford Research and Innovation Center, is a technology research facility in Palo Alto, California. The center focuses on cutting-edge technologies and development of Autonomous Vehicles, IoT/Connectivity, Software, and Mobility innovations.

Responsibilities:
- Develop cognitive application prototypes that solve issues using leading AI technology frameworks
- Optimize NLU model by implementing NLP systems, performing intent classification and entity extraction, and user testing
- Develop and maintain digital conversational flows, dialog
- Research, Architect, Prototype, and Test Dialogue Management system and Natural Language Generator
- Connect to data source (e.g. multiple xml documents) and query database
- Collaborate with research teams working on a variety of deep learning and NLP problems
- Produce documentation to update and influence various levels of management about overall project status
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science
- 2+ years of experience in the fields of Natural Language Processing, Dialog System, Contextual Understanding, Machine Learning
- 3+ years of experience with C++, Python, C#, Java and/or Node.js
- 1+ years of experience in one or more AI platform, e.g. IBM Watson, Microsoft Azure, Google Api.Ai, Facebook Wit.Ai, Microsoft Bot Framework
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with developing and training neural network models
- Experience in human-centric design deliverables and execution of the design thinking approach
- Hands-on experience with deep learning technologies or familiarity with state-of-the-art deep learning toolkits
- Desire and ability to work in a rapid development environment
- Possess strong technical communication skills (both verbal and written) and be able to apply these skills to convey technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences
- General understanding of Deep Learning
- Strong understanding of REST calls and can read/write documentation
