Job description:

Core Functional Safety Engineer positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Responsible for development and integration of Ford Functional Safety standards and industry common practices into corporate processes related to planning and tracking Functional Safety work products. Develop and identify the Functional Safety analysis requirements and work products for different technologies. Develop internal training and support for application functional safety engineers. Support the management of the Functional Safety templates and guidelines used
in VSEM.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field
• 4 years of experience applying system safety standards including ISO26262
• 4 years of experience developing software and hardware for distributed and embedded systems
• 4 years of experience performing data analysis
• 4 years of experience applying Product Lifecycle Management tools
• 4 years of experience performing failure analysis methods and tools (FTA and FMEA)
• 1 year of experience developing and reviewing functional safety content requirements and architecture
• Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently
