Position Overview/Description:

This is an IT Application Portfolio Management position for In-Vehicle-Electronics business team. The successful candidate will manage the IT application portfolio for the In-Vehicle-Electronics business area with focus on Embedded Software, Hardware, Networks and Electrical Distribution System supporting Global initiatives. Responsible for Business Relationship Management, Strategy, Planning, Business/Cycle Financial Planning, Envisioning/Futuring and all aspects of Portfolio Management.

Responsibilities:
  • Grow and maintain strong customer relationships. Be an advocate for business partner IT needs. Understand and address business concerns, recommend process and technology improvements and develop tactical and strategic opportunities
  • Develop and maintain high-level knowledge of the EESE areas and associated business strategies
  • Partner with business to ensure IT components of major business strategic initiatives are met
  • Collaborate with IT management to ensure the business' strategic direction and requirements are reflected within IT
  • Ability to maintain and leverage supplier relationships to ensure both IT and Business needs are met
  • Develop and obtain approval for cycle plans, perform governance, prioritization activities, business value, forecast accuracy and support funding
  • Review portfolio performance, including financial, quality, customer sat, business value, and portfolio risk
  • Recommend or approve appropriate actions
  • Identify opportunities, review consumption recommendations for IT services Prioritize, approve or seek approval from other IT skill teams. Present consumption recommendations/tradeoffs to business
  • Assist with business and vendor input to Application Control Reviews, Enterprise Architecture Assessment, Hosting Infrastructure reviews and asset decommissioning as required

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ Years of experience with Business Relationship Management and/or Business Analyst
  • 3+ Years of experience with Oracle, Unix/Linux, and SQL

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior working experience with the Portfolio Management Process (envisioning, strategy formulation and portfolio planning)
  • Understanding of Agile process
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, and influencing others to achieve goals
  • Experience in Customer Relationship Management
  • Proficiency in the Office Suite of tools including presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of database, data integration, data modeling, and analytical systems, technical experiences especially Teamcenter preferably from development, infrastructure and architecture
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Experience with communicating and making presentations to customers and senior management
  • Ability to articulate the effect of technology in business terms
  • Ability to align technology needs to the EESE business vision
  • Background in PD, Electrical Engineering, and business planning useful
  • Previous experience working with the business on funding requirements
  • Experience interpreting business requirements, recognizing impact on business processes, and making recommendations
